To avoid eye irritation when working with onions, peel under cold water
or refrigerate the onions before chopping.
If you need to boil potatoes quickly,add some butter or margarine to it.
Old potatoes won't get dark while boiling if you add some vinegar to it.
Sometimes you can find small insects in cauliflower.Before boiling it,
put it in a salted water.
Add vegetable oil to salads only after you added salt,vinegar and pepper(salt doesn't dissolve in oil.)
Garlic chopped into slices or larger pieces will likely to dissolve or
soften, so you won't get as usually add a light flavor to your dish. It's less
strong a garlic flavor as you will with crushed garlic.
If you want to keep cauliflower white when you cook it, add a teaspoon
of vinegar to the water you boil or steam it with.
